In the 1830 census for Warren County, James Cary who is believed to be the father of Marion and Newton of a earlier marriage; is listed with 1 boy under 5 years of age (William T. His wife Nancy is listed as 20-30 as she was thirty years at the time. Nancy and James would have been married for only four years at the time of this census, so this would put Marion and Newton with a different mother who is unknown at this time but possibly a Rogers.
May 11, 1844 and August 9, 1844. Marion was assigned to be a correspondant to New Providence Baptist Church.February 8, 1845. Marion, Newton, James and Nancy Cary were given letters of dissmission.
